Escuchar con los ojos is a collaborative photographic and text-based project resulting from over 20 years of deep engagement between photographer Stephen Ferry, Amado Villafaña, and the Yosokwi Collective of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

This work carries the spiritual guidance of Mamu Kunchanawingumu Márquez, who registered it in the invisible world on May 6, 2026. It is supported by the cultural consultancy of Amado Villafaña in collaboration with the Yosokwi Realizations Collective. The cotton threads for the bookmarks were spun by Ati Awisama with her daughters Gunney, Zarekun, Mannekun, and Rwaney Umun. They are twisted to the left and to the right so that negative and positive forces remain in balance.

An edition of three thousand copies printed by Panamericana Formas e Impresos S.A., Bogotá. The paper used is Portuguese premium offset made from Eucalyptus Globulus fibers. The book format is 22.6 x 22.6 cm. The typefaces used are Exposure, designed by Federico Parra Barrios, and Palanquin, by Pria Ravichandran.
